Our Tours   –   Aftermath   ~   The Soldier’s Tour

Many visitors to Gettysburg do not realize . . .
The three-day battle was fought
in the streets of the town –
and not just the area now designated as
the National Military Park.

The Aftermath – Our original tour
The Soldier’s Tour

The Grave Digger Tours offer Gettysburg visitors two unique historic walking tours.

The Aftermath tour, our original tour, describes the horrors the townspeople of Gettysburg faced as they were forced to deal with the dead and dying Union and Confederate soldiers, as well as their animals, littering the streets of the town and the surrounding farms.

The Soldier’s Tour tells the ghostly stories of the spirits that still haunt these hallowed grounds because of their trials and tribulations.

These tours feature the eyewitness accounts of the men and women who lived through this most famous of all American Civil War battles and wrote of their experiences in letters and diaries.

Your guide will lead you through historic streets where skirmishes between Union and Confederate soldiers were fought, and homes sustained battle damage – houses still scarred by bullet holes.

Cameras are welcome!
